sandara is coming to manila.

Badly missing her friends in the metro, Sandara takes a short visit to Manila for a three-day break. She will arrive on Thursday, 13 August. Manila is her destination while the rest of the 2NE1 girls take off to their own places to visit. She will come with a director and camerawomen to document the vacation for screening in South Korea.

Sandara’s schedule includes a reunion with Star Circle Quest stars Neri Naig, Joross Gamboa, Melissa Ricks, Joseph Bitangcol, Rafael Martinez and Roxanne Guinoo. Hero Angeles and Michelle Madrigal can’t join them as they are busy with showbiz commitments. Sandara plans to go to the beach and visit ABS-CBN. She wants to appear in Wowowee but is already booked with E-live, a pictorial for Star Magic, being a MYX DJ, chatting on line with fans and hopefully she will have a mall tour.

She wants to stay until Sunday to be able to appear in ASAP 09 but she has to fly back to South Korea by airing day.

Power of girlgroups – taking up 8 spots out of 10 spots on top 10 chart

August is the month where the girlgroup effect can be seen to be the most powerful.

For top 10 on music charts for the 1st week of august, 8 songs are songs by girlgroups. For Mnet chart, for 1st week of August (3rd – 9th August) #1 goes to Brown Eyed Girls with ‘Abracadabra’, and #10 is also taken by Brown Eyed Girls with ‘Candy Man’.

KARA, who recently came back with their 2nd album, is at #2  and #7 with ‘Wanna’ and ‘Mister’.

T-ara and 2NE1 is at #5 and #6 with ‘Lies’ and ‘I Don’t Care’. The song ‘I Don’t Care’, released at the beginning of July, is still doing strong up music charts.

#9 goes to ‘Amoled’ a collaboration by Son DamBi and After School. and #8 goes to ‘NaengMyun’ by So Nyeo Shi Dae Jessica and Park MyungSoo. With that 8 spots out of the top 10 charts are from girlgroups.

The 2 other spots on the top 10 chart is by FT Island and MC Mong with ‘I Hope’ and ‘Indian Boy’ at #3 and #4.

Big Bang and 2NE1 to participate in Asia Song Festival with SuJu and SNSD

It has been known that Big Bang and 2NE1 will be participating in 2009 Song Festival.

Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange has revealed the 2nd line-up to the 6th Asia Song Festival on 11st August.

And for the 2nd line-up, it has been known that groups Big Bang and 2NE1 will be participating in the event. Other than that, Japanese popular group V6 and Hong Kong singer-actor Eken Zheng YiJian will also be participating in the event.

It was known that groups Super Junior and So Nyeo Shi Dae will be participating for the event when the 1st line-up was revealed earlier. And now 2 more Korean singer groups Big Bang and 2NE1 joins the list, representing Korea for the song festival.

2009 Asia Song Festival will be held on 19th September in Seoul WorldCup Stadium.

Date: 19th September 2009, Saturday, 6:00 p.m.
Venue: Seoul WorldCup Stadium
