[NEWS] YG’s Yang Hyun Suk reveals why 2NE1 will not promote “Lonely”

After 2NE1 scored an instant ‘all-kill’ on online music charts with the release of their newest track,“Lonely”, many of their fans began to wonder whether they would be able to watch the group perform their soothing ballad track live on music and public music show programs, despite CEO Yang Hyun Suk stating they would not be performing on public TV programs.

However, it has been re-confirmed by Yang Hyun Suk himself that he will remain true to his word – 2NE1 will not be standing on stage to undergo active promotions for the song.

As a replacement, however, 2NE1 are set to recreate and perform modified versions of the song through YG’s online show, “YG ON AIR“. Continue reading →

[INTERVIEW/110511] Teddy on 2NE1 and the Kpop Syndrome!

  YG Entertainment’s famous producer Teddy recently expressed why he thinks the “KPop Syndrome” is taking the world by storm.

Teddy is probably one of the most well-known producers in Korea, having produced popular hits such as Taeyang’s “Look Only At Me,” Uhm Junghwa’s “D.I.S.C.O,” Big Bang’s “Sunset Glow,” and many of Big Bang & 2NE1′s songs such as “Lollipop.”

This year marks Teddy’s 12th year since he began producing and as both a producer and a musician (Teddy was a member of YG’s hip hop group 1TYM), there is no doubt that he has significantly influenced the KPop wave. The songs that he produced for 2NE1 are extremely popular in foreign countries such as France, Mexico and Brazil.
