This is the henna that’s on my shoulder~! Isn’t it pretty?! [NEWS] Part 3: 2NE1, What kind of clothes did they wear during their shoot?

On this day, the stylist in charge of the styling Lee Jingyoo shi revealed “I did the styling for an overall denim look and I mix and matched (today) to create a look suitable for a retro atmosphere and Western feeling.” “Because this is a tomboyish photoshoot, rather than curviness, the prepared clothing tends to be more straight-cut.”

He also added “Each of the members are sporting a different style of denim, in terms of detail and material, I also utilized ‘object’ styling as well”.

[OTHER] Bom and 2NE1′s fitness instructor says “NO to CORN!”

I laughed so hard when I saw this photo shared by 쿠 앙@ DC2NE1! I just love this No Corn photo! And oh I love how it has a Did you know? print in it.

For all those who don’t know what this meant, this was because of the corn incident in 2NE1 TV. Where Bom was caught eating corn by their instructor through watching 2NE1 TV. The next day Bom was punished by the instructor by telling her how corns have high calorie content and how Bom should hate corns (lol).

‘Even while wearing boyish clothing, can they still express themselves in a sexy and polished way?’

Representative girl groups from South Korea participated in the ‘2010 Big Project Girl Group Crossdressing Photoshoot”, a collaboration between Star News and fashion site Style M for the fashion magazine Arena’s May issue. The first to appear is 2NE1.

From the second that 2NE1 debuted, they were deemed the ‘Female Big Bang’ and proved to be completely different from current girl groups at that time. Whatever these girls wore became the trend and became a brand. For example, last year, CL’s unique glasses were a huge hit, as well as Sandara Park’s antenna hairstyle. In addition, Park Bom’s lovely style and Gong Minzy’s cute bob hair cut became a trend as well.

On the 29th, 2NE1 was at the studio located in Shinsadong in the southern part of Korea. Finally given a break from their fashion shows, CFs, photoshoots, and several other schedules, 2NE1 seemed much more relaxed. Their outer appearances seemed to have changed too.

CL sported a popstar-like reggae perm; instead of Sandara Park’s palm tree hair, she had a round twisting ‘snail’ hair style; Park Bom had a uniquely feminine and lovely perm; and instead of ‘Ero’ Minji’s short bob, it became a wavy upstyle.

“This photoshoot’s concept is tomboyish. 2NE1 is going to be wearing denim for this.”

When the 2NE1 members were told the concept, they seemed very confident and revealed their determination. Leader CL said, “It’s boys’ clothing. Our group can do that the best!” Sandara Park said as well, “I originally wear denim well, but I really like the denim look”; Gong Minji stated of course, “Don’t I look a bit like a boy?”; and Park Bom said “I’m supposed to be the feminine one in 2NE1, but I wanted to show another aspect of myself.”

Now! The shoot has started!

For these girls’ shoot, 10 staff members have come together, including stylist Lee Jingyoo, photographers, and even news reporters. But just a sec! Girl group members tend to get really nervous before a photoshoot. Will 2NE1 be like that too?

[NEWS] Part 2: 2NE1 members fought each other for clothes?

Part 1

2NE1 is well known for their crazy and creative fashion sense and the group was recently interviewed during a photoshoot for ARENA May issue over whether they ever fought each other over clothing and accessories.

The members laughed and answered, “Each member has a different style, so we have no reason to fight over clothes.” CL then stated, “If we get clothes or accessories, we all know who it belongs to depending on the style.”

Sandara Park then explained the different styles of the members. She stated, “Bomis always a onepiece. Hotpants also fits, which suit her feminine look. Baggy jeans and a beanie hat suits me, which is good because it’s getting cold these days (laughs). Minzy, even though shes young, likes to wear sexy clothes. She has a mature style, which is the opposite of my childish fashion.”

Minzy then stated, “It’s surprising how our fashion is all different. Dara and CL unnie likes the “street” look, with lots of prints. I, on the otherhand, favor feminine clothes.”

The group was then asked to pick who the best dresser was.

Without hesitation, they all picked CL. Minzy stated, “CL unnie likes to try a variety of styles. Whenever we have a new song or music video, her fashion is always different.”

Sandara Park stated, “CL was different even when we were trainees. Her fashion is very unique. She completes our group’s overall look.”
