YG-MBC Reconciliation… Big Bang first MuCo appearance in 11 months

YG Entertainment’s popular idol groups Big Bang and 2NE1 will come out as a guest on MBC’s music program ‘Show! Music Core’’s 200th episode anniversary on the 20th. With this it seems the cold war between YG and MBC is over.

A representative from ‘Show! Music Core’ reveals that ‘YG Entertainment’s Big Bang’s Daesung and Seungri, and 2NE1 will come as guests to the 200th episode anniversary of ‘Show! Music Core.’” Since this is also 2NE1’s first appearance on ‘Show! Music Core’ since their debut, it holds more meaning.

Despite official statements from both YG and MBC, the rumors of their cold war failed to die out. According to insiders, it is said that their relationship came to a halt when ‘Show!Music Core’ requested an unreasonably long time frame for 2NE1’s performance when they first debuted.

After this, YG artists made appearances in several MBC variety shows such as ‘Gold Fishery’ and ‘Three Wheels’ but did not perform in their main music program, ‘Show! Music Core.’ 2NE1 also made an appearance in ‘Sunday Sunday Night-Danbi’ on the 27th of December and only had an outing, they did now come out once on ‘Show! Music Core.’

As the rumors grew bigger, YG released an explanation, saying, “I think this misunderstanding was made due to YG’s promotion plans of one appearance per week. We did not look down on the broadcast station in question, nor did they refuse to allow our artists to perform.” But it was hard to rid of the rumors, with the fact that they did not make an appearance once for 11 months on a music show, which can be seen as the origins of a singer’s life.

It was YG who held out his hand in reconciliation first. According to an insider from MBC, YG’s Yang Hyun Suk recently called ‘Show! Music Core’ in person. Both parties, after much compromise, settled on the appearance of Daesung, Seungri, and 2NE1.

With YG and MBC’s reconciliation, there is anticipation for the activities of YG artists inside MBC. YG Big Bang’s Top in ‘Sunday Sunday Night’ in the early days of his debut, and Seungri and Daesung in ‘Show! Music Core’ has shown off their wit and talent. [FANCAM] 2NE1 at Bigbang Japan Electric Tour

Yesterday, the girls’ schedule was for Bigbang’s Electric Tour so the girls are out the country and are in Japan right now.

2NE1 and BIGBANG for MUSIC CORE

YG Entertainment’s idol groups Big Bang and 2NE1 will be on MBC’s music program Music Core.

Their future appearance on the show is attracting attention because until now, MBC and YG have not been on particularly good terms.

A “Music Core” publicist announced on the 10th, “Big Bang’s Daesung and Seungri as well as 2NE1 will be featured in the 200th special episode.”

On another note, the 200th special episode which will be February 20th, will also feature 2PM, SNSD, After School, Brown Eyed Girls, Lee Eunmi, Baek Ji Young, Kim Jong Gook, SHINee, C.N.Blue, and more artists all singing their debut singles.

Sandara Park aka Dara fits protagonist role

Sandara Park of 2NE1 has entered the screen-protagonist-role-debut countdown.

Sandara Park has already made a surprise appearance in MBC’s “Return of Iljimae” last year. She showed a completely different side of her playing the role of a ninja’s daughter Riero (sp?) saving Iljimae (played by Jung Il Woo)’s life.

It has been found out Sandara is getting many lovecalls from Choongmooro. She got a request to be the protagonist role in the Korean version of “Step Up”. A staff said, “We’ve sent the scenario to Sandara. We thought she was the perfect cast for this project since she can sing and dance and has already tried acting in movies and dramas of Philippines and Korea.”

Staff of YG Entertainment, which Sandara is part of, said “Sandara got lovecalls from not just that movie, but a few other dramas and movies asking her to play the protagonist role. She’s been an actress already in the Philippines and has also constantly been getting acting lessons as a member of 2NE1. From now on, the fans might be able to see her in movies and dramas, not just on stages performing as 2NE1.”
